Jan 24, 2025

Definition of Wireless Communication Terminals

Wireless communication terminals refer to devices that use radio waves for communication. They can receive and send wireless signals and access the Internet or other network devices through a wireless network.

Features of Wireless Communication Terminals

High mobility

Wireless communication terminals are not restricted by wired connections, allowing users to access the network anytime, anywhere.

High portability

Many wireless communication terminals, such as smartphones and tablets, are lightweight and portable, making them convenient for users to carry around.

Acrel has launched a new wireless data collection device called the AWT100 Wireless Communication Terminal.

Features of the Acrel AWT100 Wireless Communication Terminal

Its uplink communication functions integrate diverse communication modes, covering 2G, 4G, NB-IoT, LoRa, and LoRaWAN. With just a one-time initial configuration of the downlink interface, it can seamlessly collect data from MODBUS devices.

For the downlink interface, the AWT100 is equipped with a standardized RS485 data interface, making it easy to connect with various devices such as meters, RTUs (Remote Terminal Units), PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and industrial PCs.

Additionally, the AWT100 series wireless communication terminals feature high-performance microprocessing chips and built-in advanced WATCHDOG technology to ensure system stability and high efficiency.

Applications of Acrel AWT100 Wireless Communication Terminal

  • Wireless meter reading

  • Building automation and security

  • Robot control

  • Power distribution network monitoring, power load monitoring

  • Intelligent lighting control

  • Automated data collection

  • Industrial remote control and telemetry

  • Highway and railway data transmission

  • Other power and industrial control sectors

Advantages of Acrel AWT100 Series Wireless Communication Terminals

The Acrel Internet of Things (IoT) energy management system encompasses core functions such as real-time power parameter monitoring, instant fault alarm processing, and remote control of IoT devices. It is fully compatible with and optimally manages all integrated Acrel product series.
